In the year 2017, India was honoured to be the Partner Country for the second time at the 59th edition of the International Engineering Fair (MSV). Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Minister, Mr C R Chaudhary led a team of 90 Indians representing Industrial Machinery, Iron and Steel, Industrial Design and General Engineering. Delegations from Indian States of Jharkhand led by Mr Raghubar Das, Chief Minister of Jharkhand and from Karnataka led by Mr R V Deshpande, Minister of Medium and Large Industries, Government of Karnataka and National Institute of Design were worth mentioning.
India was the Partner Country in the global fair in 2012 and returned here for the second time during October 2017 with much strengthened prowess in engineering and technology, with an aim to find new markets for the country's entrepreneurs, encouraging them to rope in joint ventures for flagship programmes like 'Make in India'. With the help of 'Make In India' campaign, India is on the path of becoming hub for hi-tech manufacturing. Global giants like GE, Siemens, HTC, Toshiba and Boeing have either set up, or in the process of setting up their plants in India being attracted by India's market of more than a billion customers and increasing purchasing power. India as partner country at MSV 2017 is reflection of over years of strong Indo-Czech diplomatic relations. Our bandwidth in meeting international standard of quality was showcased through a sprawling India Pavilion.
