MSV, the International Engineering Fair is the most important industrial trade fair event in Central Europe with an annual attendance of more than 1,600 exhibitors and 80,000 visitors. More than 50% of exhibitors and 10% of visitors arrive from abroad.

The main topic of MSV is Industry 4.0 and Digital Factory, meaning digitisation of manufacturing, one of the main directions of the innovation process. The highlighted topic of the ENVITECH trade fair is Circular Economy – Managing Material Resources. It is a trend that is one of the priority areas of sustainable development and the adaptation of industry and trade will go right in this direction. In 2019, focus will also be on investment opportunities, i.e. start-up projects, new ideas, and innovation as an opportunity for investment.

MSV Brno, a strong bond with INDIA


In the year 2017, India was honoured to be the Partner Country for the second time at the 59th edition of the International Engineering Fair (MSV). Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Minister, Mr C R Chaudhary led a team of 90 Indians representing Industrial Machinery, Iron and Steel, Industrial Design and General Engineering. Delegations from Indian States of Jharkhand led by Mr Raghubar Das, Chief Minister of Jharkhand and from Karnataka led by Mr R V Deshpande, Minister of Medium and Large Industries, Government of Karnataka and National Institute of Design were worth mentioning.

India & Czech Republic – Bilateral trade relation


India and the Czech Republic have continued efforts for strengthening economic relations through frequent exchange of trade and business delegations. Since 2012, bilateral trade has amounted to more than one billion U.S. dollars. The bilateral trade turnover was USD 1221 million in 2015, which increased to USD 1355 million in 2016 and USD 1466 million in 2017 (with India’s exports at USD 795 million and India’s imports amounting to USD 670 million). Both the countries agreed to boost bilateral economic ties at the eleventh session of India – Czech Republic Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation (JCEC) that was held in October last year. During the summit, the Czech side stressed that the Czech Government continues to rank India among the priority countries for promotion of mutual commercial, investment and economic activities.

Note : Regarding goods taken out of India for exhibition or on consignment basis for export promotion, participants may refer to Circular No. 108/27/2019-GST dated 18.07.2019 of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) which is the statute in the matter.

Upto Rs. 70,000 may be reimbursed to eligible participants in terms of the MAI guidelines. However, this shall be subject to receiving of specific Govt. approval for such assistance for events of 2019-20. The T&C must be abided by for eligibility towards such reimbursement. Note: EEPC INDIA can only recommend for issuance of VISA to the extent that the concerned person is a participant at the subject exhibition and that the person in question has been certified by the participating organisation to be their employee. The Foreign Embassy / Consulate where the applicant submits the VISA application is expected to follow their usual procedural checks before granting the VISA in question and EEPC INDIA shall not be responsible in any manner whatsoever for non-issuance of VISA by the concerned authorities. This would mean that the prospective participant will be fully liable for the total charges payable to EEPC INDIA even if they do not obtain the VISA for any reason whatsoever.
